Resource Pages
Are you an undocumented individual? If so, explore this tab to learn more about healthcare resources during your pregnancy and about your rights within and outside the workplace! Knowing your rights is a crucial step to protect yourself and your family.
Finding reliable information online can be difficult. In this section, you can explore websites that we think are useful starting points for questions you want answered. These websites contain research articles, FAQs, and details of medical procedures as well as of prenatal development, labor, and post-natal treatments.
Mothers need a lot of help. Many mothers raise children successfully by themselves, but we encourage you to find help and reach out to others when possible, even when it feels difficult to ask for help. On this page, we compile resources for how to ask for help and find networks of support.
How you feed your baby (milk by breast or bottle, or formula) is an important choice for a parent to make. Every situation is unique. We also include research-backed resources for when to introduce solid foods. We hope to condense your search by putting many resources in one place.
It is important to take care of your mental health as you would take care of your physical health. We understand that finding resources can be an overwhelming task, so we gathered free mental health resources and put them in one place. Click on the mental health tab to learn more!
This page offers a collection of free resources from various organizations and programs, including perinatal items (e.g., diapers), food, as well as financial subsidy programs. We highlight what is available for citizens, legal residents, and non-legal residents.
If you want to incorporate traditional practices and medicines in your perinatal journey, this is a place where we validate your decision. On this page, you will find some considerations and tips for your journey (like how to bring up your use of traditional medicine at a doctor’s appointment).
Motherhood comes with a lot of changes, and it can be hard to honor all your previous life commitments (e.g., work, relationships with family, friends, or even yourself) and the pressure to be “perfect”. On this page [coming soon!], you will find tips for how to give yourself grace, as we all make mistakes and fall short of our goals from time to time.

This website is managed by UCLA's Supporting Mothers Project.
The resources gathered on this site stem from the needs identified in interviews with first and second-generation Latina mothers who just had their first child.
We hope this website is helpful for women entering motherhood as well as their support networks. Specific resource pages are linked on the menu bar above, as well as described in more detail on this home page.
